0.42.0 freezes the request-time application loop on top of the untouched 0.41.x static freeze: definePage loaders and actions, the fail/redirect algebra with PRG revalidation, enhanced and no-JS form loops through the morph client, the fail-closed CSRF default, and build → start first-mile semantics (ADR-0120, frozen by ADR-0122). The line also brings hydrate-named island strategies, keyed <For>, ErrorBoundary auto-capture, the sanitizeHtml allow-list, .mdx routes, i18n routing, sitemaps, the standalone serve.mjs entry, and registration decoupling (#960, ADR-0128). Pure-static and SPA 0.41.x projects upgrade with zero source changes — proven byte-level against the stable artifacts. Session/flash, cache/ISR, streaming and the production runtime stay unfrozen (0.43/0.44).
The second independent review closes 18 issues: explicit form actions win on enhanced submits, morphed-in islands show the server render, morph matching is an ordered walk, and enhancement detection follows imports.
